Vitalis: Well, when I wake up in the morning. The first thing I do, is to think about breakfast. But that's just thinking; but the first thing I always do is to go down on my knees and at least thank God for having enabled me to make it to the next day.

Danu: I'm really interested in space travel because since my childhood I'm very interested in stars, moon, and things about space, so I wish I could travel to space one day. How about you, Widuri, what do you think?

Silvia: Diego, you're like a very fun person to be around. So I'm wondering, how good are you with children?

Diego: Actually, I think I'm quite good with children. I love kids, maybe it's because I'm a kid as well here. And I like to play with kids. I think it's really hilarious. They definitely make me exhausted and tired but I do enjoy with kids. And actually sometimes in the local orphanage, when it's Christmas time, we dress as Santa Claus and elves and sometimes we play with little kids and it's quite nice. I love kids. They're so nice. I mean they're just full of life and smiles. But they bite sometimes. They bite you and they get at your back and everything.

Paul: So Hanna, would you prefer living in a new city or old city?

Hanna: Uhm, I'm a little bit biased in this case because the city I come from, Melbourne is quite old or I guess not old compared to a lot of European and Asian cities but there's a lot of very old buildings around. So I like that kind of culture.

Mark: Well, the thing that comes to my mind is my trip. I traveled for six months in India and when I went to India for six months I had, I took so little money with me but I stretched it out, I stretched it out and I stretched it out a bit more and I could stay there living in relative luxury for hardly any money.

Micky: So we're talking about today is dressing up. So Gaew, what do you think about the topic?

Gaew: When do you like to dress up?

Gaew: For me, I usually dress up whenever I feel like to.

Micky: For me, I totally feel like anytime I'm going out is good for me to dress up. That's what I feel.

Micky: I guess, most of the times.

Gaew: Uhm, well, I usually dress up yeah, as I said, everytime that I feel like to. But there's time I don't feel like dressing up. I just go out with like T-shirt and jeans.

Gaew: It's mostly it is western. My traditional clothes is too easy-going. It's not dressing up.

Gaew: No, it just go easy like uhm, the top and the bottom so I don't think I can go somewhere far more with that.

Gaew: Uhm, the question is about "Would you rather work for a large or small company?" Would you?

Micky: Yeah, I don't know, but I think I would rather work for a large company.

Gaew: Uhm, why?

Micky: Because working for a large company gives you room to build yourself. Have large friends, have large organization to work with because you're kind of like reckon with and all that.
米基：因为在大公司工作有塑造自己的机会。在工作中可以结交很多朋友，还会和大型机构合作，你要考虑这些事。
Gaew: Well, if it's me, I would rather work for a small company, because like, I see when I feel that if you work in a large company there, there is more rules and regulations. But if it is a small company you can, I can move more freely. And I suppose maybe that my opinion can be heard easier than in a large company where higher ups are far away in maybe some another foreign country.

Micky: Yeah, but to large company, you have a chance of working with...

8.汉堡
Todd: So I'm here with Shantel, and we both are from the United States. And we both are teachers in Japan. So I thought we would talk a little bit about some of the stereotypes that people might have in other countries, for example Japan, or other countries about Americans. So first, we're going to talk about hamburgers.

Shantel: Okay.

Todd: Okay, so hamburgers. How often do you actually eat a hamburger?

Shantel: Uh, hamburgers. I would say, it's actually not that often, although I love hamburgers. I love them very much, but maybe only a couple times a month or so.

Todd: Yeah, I agree. I think hamburgers is the one thing that does not meet the stereotype, that we don't eat them that often. Like, I never have hamburgers in America.

Mark: Today’s question is would you buy a computer secondhand?
马克：今天要讨论的问题是，你会买二手电脑吗?
Sorie: I would. Definitely. I don't mind if it's new or old, as long as it works. I'm not picky. How about you?

Mark: Definitely. I'm not picky either. I don’t why I wouldn't buy a computer secondhand.

Mark: Can you foresee any problems, though?

Sorie: I don't think so. And they are cheap, so I think it's really good. Yeah.

10.你有克服过恐惧吗？
A:Okay. Viyasan, have you ever overcome any fears.
好。维亚森，你有克服过恐惧吗？
B:Okay, that's a good question. I think there's many fears that I've overcome and I'm sure everyone has as well, but the one that sticks out to me the most was attending university after high school. I think the scariest part of that was meeting all the different types of people, different people from different cultures, from different high schools, from different areas. It was very odd to see that group all mixed together. I wasn't sure how to approach people and talk to them. Some of the classes were very tough. It was just a huge mess of interacting with people and doing well in school. But I think the best way to approach it is to find similarities that you can connect with people. For example, I really liked basketball and so I tried to hang out with other people who liked basketball and other people who enjoyed some of my similar subjects. For example, I like marketing and so I was a big fan of other students who took very similar classes and I would talk to them about my interests. And so, I think that's how I got through university, was trying to find people that made similar interests of mine ... or, sorry, or had similar interests and just grow with them, learn more, and then slowly meet new people with similar interests as well. So I think that's how I overcame the hurdle of first year university.

B:Yep, and then I'll be graduating, so it's pretty scary heading into the real world, the adult world.

B:Finding a job? Right now, I do have a job when I graduate university. I'll be working within a marketing context, luckily, it's something that I'm interested in, in a marketing context at a consulting firm. So that's solving problems for different types of businesses within a marketing context.
